Fine Line Between Coincidence and Manifesting

Today I’m going back up to Boston.  My company has created a temporary office for me in a skyscraper there, so that’s where I’ll be working for a couple weeks.  This may not sound like anything special, however I cannot ignore the rather unlikely coincidence that I happened to write a blog not too long ago about working in a skyscraper in a major US city (link to reference below).  It could be just a coincidence, but then again I did publish something talking about me working in a skyscraper in a big city.  So there is a possibility that my publication in 2009 affected where I would be working in 2011.  The connection could be easily debated of course, and probably impossible to prove, but it is strange at best.  I typically work in a small field office trailer and have never worked in a big US city before.

One thing that I notice is that I am a little more nervous about getting to the office in Boston as opposed to traveling to my usual rural office.  If there is some connection between my publication and this event, then it’s a possibility that this event is just one in a series of events that eventually end in the physical realization of the original intent, as discussed in the publication.  Furthermore there would be some hurdles that I would need to clear in order to prepare for the final realization, otherwise the final realization would not be permanent.  You would hypothetically be thrown into the intended situation and you could not sustain that position because you were unprepared.  For instance, if I needed to work in New York and had not gotten used to traveling to a main city before, I might only be able to do it for a couple weeks, then need to quit.  Or maybe the traveling itself would not be enough to make me quit, but combined with a bunch of other difficulties, could be overbearing.

I’ll keep you posted as this possible manifestation continues to evolve and my thoughts on the subject.  I’m keeping a scientific observer perspective, but such possible revelations could be pretty exciting.  We need to keep a mindful eye on the evasive line between coincidence and manifesting.

I rent out temporary offices and I work out of a temporary office.
We are about to move to a permanent building - will I loose my job? Your post is messing with my head! :)

It seems you are facing a new challenge, and may I say your fortunate !
People dream of working in skyscrapers in NYC. I know the feeling because I found myself with a similar mind-boggling one when after only three months as an Indian immigrant I landed a job as Proofreader at a major NY publishing house by the name of Scott Meredith Literary Agency (now defunct). This was the first publishing house to offer the unheard-of sum of half a million dollars as advance payment for a manuscript. The story of David Berkowitz a.k.a. the Son of Sam ! But I digress.....

In the dead of a historic snowy, stormy winter and there I was, commuting by bus from NJ to NY 5 days a week.....get off the bus, go down to the subway and take a 10 minute ride to the Upper East Side skyscraper to my humble job that paid $110.00 per week......in the late '70s I actually survived on that since I lived with my sister at the time !

Every day was a challenge from the moment I woke up till the time I got home semi-frozen while I adjusted to life away from the usual heat of my old home in India. Culture shock when I saw a homeless veteran in a wheelchair with a cup in his hand in Times Square.....I had always thought that there were no 'beggars' in America ! I didn't know how to react because the notion of begging was something I thought I had left behind in India. A beautiful lady who walked next to me on the street and asked me if I wanted to go out on a date, and I wondered at the friendliness of the American people, then realized I had just encountered my first prostitute !

I could go on and on.....but I will end here by saying once again you are fortunate at your age to be in your situation. I was young and naive back then. Today I am also fortunate.....to have a job as a cashier at the age of 60, physically and mentally healthy and able thanks to the street smarts I acquired from the school of hard knocks.

Count your blessings, go safely and in Peace !

I thank you for your comment Virtual Poona Blogger and for the insight that you offer. I'm sure the story of your life would make a great biography, what you have shared sounds intriguing. I do feel very blessed just to be working given the present state of the economy. I expect to be working there for a couple weeks. It sometimes takes up to 7 hours of travel to get there and back, but it's quite the opportunity. Thanks again!
